“Doing Journalism in the 21st Century”
The 2008 keynote panel discussion will be led by Brant Houston, University of Illinois Knight Chair Professor in Investigative and Enterprise Journalism and a former reporter who shared in a Pulitzer Prize while at The Kansas City Star.
Joining the panel are Jaimi Dowdell of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Chase Davis of the Houston Chronicle, Warren Watson, longtime journalist and educator, and Linda Kane of Naperville Central High School.
The panel will discuss redefining journalism, how it will survive and how excellence in journalism can still be achieved. The conference also will include special sessions on covering the 2008 election for your school newspaper.
