Primary areas of interest: Race and advertising, commercial communications; history of African Americans and the advertising industry.
Dr. Chambers' research background and course offerings are all historically based. He currently teaches a section of advertising history course as well as a course on the foundations of advertising. In addition, he has also crafted a new course that examines the use of race and ethnicity and advertising. He is in the process of finishing a book tentatively entitled Changing the Reflection in the Mirror: African-Americans in the Advertising Industry. Beyond his academic interests, he is also a major football fan, exhorting "Go Bucks!!!"
