Maria Mastronardi has been identified as an "Emerging Scholar" by the National Communications Association. Her paper, entitled, "Pro-Ana Pathologization and Every Day Dieting Discourse," was selected for the Emerging Scholars panel of the Critical and Cultural Studies Division of the NCA's conference, which will be held in Boston, Nov. 17-20. Emerging Scholars is a competitive panel devoted to showcasing the most promising submissions by junior faculty.
