Announcing the third annual University of Illinois Communications
Collaboration conference. The UICC is composed of graduate students interested in communications research from the campuses of the University of Illinois.

The conference is designed to bring together communications students in an
academic forum where students can showcase their research and interact
with colleagues and faculty from the university's three campuses.

Ellen Wartella is scheduled to be the keynote speaker. Her research concentrates on the effects of media on child development. She has written severalbooks on the subject.

The conference will be held Friday, March 10, 2006, at the University of
Illinois at Chicago campus. The day-long conference will include presentationsfrom faculty and students on their current research and time to socialize.

Students who want to participate in the conference should submit papers
or extended abstracts by Feb. 20, 2006. The paper should be no longer than
15-20 pages and presentation time will be limited to 15 minutes. Students
that need audiovisual equipment should indicate their needs at the bottom of
their papers.
