ICR "abd" wins tenure-track job at UI Springfield!!

ICR Ph.D. candidate Kathy Petitte Jamison has received and accepted a tenure-track position as Assistant Professor in Communications at the University of Illinois-Springfield. With 12 years experience teaching and a strong professional background, and ongoing experience, in newspaper journalism (as photojournalist, reporter, columnist, feature writer) Kathy beat three PhDs for the position.
Jamison entered the University as a doctoral student in English in 2001 and transferred to the Institute of Communications Research in 2002. She is a former award-winning journalist in Illinois newspapers since 1991. Her research interests include topics in feminist media and consumer culture. Kathy continues to write feature stories and a regular Food Page column; she writes fiction, poetry, and is a photographer with an upcoming art show in February 2006, in Illinois.
